590 The GPU Before NAVI 7NM | New AMD Radeon RX 590 vs RX 480 vs RX 580

The new Radeon RX 590 is out now. The RX 590 is the third (maybe the last) reincarnation of Polaris architecture gen. The GPU is now using 12nm FinFET fabrication process which made the processor considerably faster than in 2016 before going all in 7nm NAVI.  AMD’s new mid-range card is aiming at the ‘sweet spot’ between RX 580 and RX Vega 56 while challenging the Nvidia popular GPU the GTX 1060 6gb. The price is bit surprising, as it stands at 280 USD mark. That is more than RX 480 and RX 580 at launch. However, the card comes with three games for free deal.

RX 590 Benchmarks Leaked

Thanks to Videocardz, we have got some benchmarks numbers for the AMD RX 590. The RX 590 seems to perform a lot better than the GTX 1060 6GB. In the benchmarks, we can see that in some games such as Call of Duty Black Ops 4 AMD’s RX 590 had a lead of 24FPS but in some games such as Fortnite, the RX 590 only had a lead of 4 FPS. These are really good scores considering that all of these games were running at 1080p ultra settings and the RX 590 is a budget card. These benchmarks are official scores from AMD so they might not reflect on real performance.

RX 590 Specs and Price

The AMD RX 590 features a boost clock of 1545 MHz, a base clock of 1469 MHz, 8GB of VRAM, and 2304 Steam Processors. The card will cost you $279 while the Nvidia GTX 1060 6GB will cost you at least $259. Of course, the RX 590 costs more but the extra $10 is definitely worth it as it runs games a lot better than the GTX 1060 6GB. The RX 590 also comes with a blockbuster launch bundle which comes with 3 free video games Devil May Cry 5, The Division 2 and Resident Evil 2.
