CS: GO might become a battle royal

Another  battle royal game might be coming

Counter-Strike: Global Offensive is one of the most popular games ever. Since the battle royal genre blew up and PUBG sold 20+ million copies and Fortnite got a lot of that hype on the console market many big AAA developers have started to jump into the battle royal genre. One of the examples is Rockstar games. They didn’t make a battle royal game but they did add a mini-game to GTA Online that was really close to PUBG. The player jumped out of a plane, picked up guns, and tried to kill everyone else. ARk Survival Evolved got a battle royal mode too. Fortnite was the most successful battle royal game other then PUBG. While CS: GO one of the most popular games ever might be getting a battle royal mode.

The Valve News Network did some research and digging and they realized that a year and a half worth of CS: GO updates and they are pointing to a battle royal mode for CS: GO. The code in these updates contain references to a survival mode and an unreleased map. The updates point to more things too such as many weapons from PUBG. Some of those weapons are light/heavy armor, drones, bows, parachutes, night vision goggles, beacons, and much more. Valve will probably add a battle royal mode to CS: GO considering that battle royal gamers are extremely popular and PUBG’s been taking players away from many other FPS games such as CS: GO. According to Steam Spy PUBG’s been doing a lot better than CS: GO. PUBG sold 25,830,363 copies and CS: GO sold 38,206,882. even though CS: GO has sold a lot more then PUBG, PUBG has 19,196,444 and CS: GO has 9,677,137. As you can see it makes a lot of sense for Valve to jump into the battle royal hype and add a battle royal mode.
