Lenovo Just introduced its new 13-inch IPS touchscreen Gen 3 ThinkPad X1 tablet that comes with 3K resolution, Intel’s gen 8 Core i7 ULVs and a fingerprint reader ready for shipping this January and Price starts at US$1,599.

Lenovo introduces the ThinkPad X1 Tablet powered by Windows 10 Pro at CES 2018 while it is not the only PC and laptop maker in ces with new interesting products. Compared to the second generation of ThinkPad X1, the differences are quite noticeable. The Chinese company has kept the detachable keyboard design so the device retains its ultraportable minimalistic profile that was one of the positive point of older generations. It is about 11.45 x 8.24 x 0.34 inches and weighs only 2.79 lbs. The security features have been also reworked to include a fingerprint reader that is compatible with Windows Hello and an infrared camera technology.

Compared to Gen 2 screen, this one has the bigger screen that now features a 13-inch IPS touch display with 3000 x 2000 resolution that is protected by a sheet of Gorilla Glass 3. The CPU is updated to Intel’s gen 8 Core i7, while the GPU has got only a small upgrade 615 to 620 Intel chips. The device can get up to 16 GB LPDDR3 RAM, and the SSD units range from 128 GB M.2 SSDs to 1 TB NVMe M.2 SSDs. Lenovo includes the Pen Pro stylus. The battery may last up to 9.5 hours based on usage.

The ThinkPad X1 Gen 3 Tablet will begin shipping in March, with a starting price of US$1,599.
