The Nintendo Switch might get a Netflix app

The Nintendo Switch launched back on March 3, 2017 without any streaming services and a few games. That definitely didn’t stop any fans from buying the console but it would’ve been a good plus to have Netflix or YouTube considering that all other major platforms have Hulu, Netflix, YouTube, and other streaming apps. Even the Wii U had Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, Crackle, and other streaming apps on it and the Wii U barely had any third party support. A few months back we heard that Hulu has been released on the Nintendo Switch that made it the first streaming app (in the USA) released on the Nintendo Switch. A few days back we heard that a streaming service called Rainway might be released on the Nintendo Switch. Rainway is a video game streaming service like Twitch but it’s browser-based. Rainway’s developer said that they have asked Nintendo if they can release an app on the Nintendo Switch. Netflix is one of the biggest streaming services in the United States. Netflix has many original series that many fans love and many movies from Disney such as Mulan. Well many fans wanted to know if we will see Netflix on the Nintendo Switch and according to Netflix we might get Netflix on the Nintendo Switch.

A Twitter user named Nintendo Screens asked Netflix CS, “Is there any word on when Netflix may be launching on the Nintendo Switch? The demand is high! We are eagerly awaiting its launch!” The Netflix CS account replied to this Tweet by saying, “Hey There! There are currently no plans on the Nintendo Switch. We appreciate your feedback on it! *JF.” This Tweet has now been deleted. Polygon reached out to Netflix and they told Polygon, “We are still exploring the opportunity with Nintendo, but don’t have definitive plans to share at this time.” The Nintendo Switch was one of the most popular consoles of 2017. The Nintendo Switch became the console and the product of the year of 2017. The Nintendo Switch also sold 10 million units in only 9 months exceeding Nintendo’s expectations by millions of units. Nintendo expected the Switch to sell only 8 million units in its first facial year April 2017 through March 2018.
