Full patchnotes for new Fortnite Battle Royale Map

Epic Games has released the full patch notes of the map update of open world game Fortnite: Battle Royale. In addition to the updated map, the 2.2.0 update also involves a number of other things.

To start with, Epic Games releases the map update today. The map will receive several new points of interest and Ammo Boxes at Dusty Depot. Previously we already knew that a city, motel and a junkyard with many wrecks would come, now it is also known that an underground mine comes to the game. Especially in the west of the map, many new points of interest have been placed.

With the 2.2.0 update, there will also be an end to the Winter Event of Fortnite. The event brought the Battle Royale mode completely into the Christmas spirit. For example, the Battle Bus had been transformed into a Christmas present with a big Santa Claus as a hot air balloon, there were Christmas trees at various locations with at least two boxes underneath, the Supply Drops had been turned into Christmas packages and the game was given a real snowball gun. The latter is again in a normal Grenade Launcher. Furthermore, the new update removes the Assault Rifle with a scope from Supply Drops and simultaneously improves the scope. This allows players to better see what they are focusing on. The chance of finding grenades as a loot is also increased.

Epic Games has also removed a number of bugs from the sandboxed game. For example, the impact of the Frag and Smoke Grenades has diminished when the shallow water hits, players can no longer place traps and pull their weapons when hit by a Boogie Bomb, empty boxes and lampposts do not block building and heat. The Cozy Campfire no longer players who are eliminated.

The renewed map ensures that players now hear special effects when they walk over grass and leaves and when getting in and out of water. Far there is a new camera effect that makes it look like the player is really underwater when they are knocked down.

The 2.2.0 update with the renewed map is now available for Fortnite: Battle Royale. The free-to-play game is available for PC, Mac, Xbox One and PS4.
