Red Dead Redemption Xbox One X VS Xbox 360 detailed comparison

Red Dead looks a lot better on the Xbox One X

Microsoft’s Xbox One console is a great console if you want to play games from the older gen consoles. Microsoft has already released hundreds of Xbox 360 and Xbox games for the Xbox One and they have started to make better-looking versions of the game for Xbox One X users. Many games from the older gen are now Xbox One X enhanced and one of the biggest is Red Dead Redemption 2.

On the Xbox One X the textures are still the same textures as the Xbox 360 version but some improvements have been made to the game visually. On the Xbox One X the game runs at native 4k and thanks to that the game looks much better than the 360 counterpart. On the Xbox One X Rockstar has also improved the anisotropic filtering to 16 times. Many things go from a blurry image on the Xbox 360 to a crisp and sharp image on the Xbox One X. Everything but the resolution and anisotropic filtering is still the same as the Xbox 360 version of the game visual wise.

On the Xbox One X the game still runs at 30 FPS but it has full vsync. Screen tear is now pretty much gone and the game is the most smooth version of Red Dead Redemption. Essentially Red Dead Redemption on the Xbox One X is like a PC version that we never got. A PC version of the game running at max settings would’ve probably looked like the Xbox One X version. It is disappointing that the game doesn’t run at 60 FPS considering that it’s old and the Xbox One X is very powerful.

Right now you can purchase Red Dead Redemption for the Xbox One for $29.99. After you download the game, Xbox One X owners will get an update for the game.
