GTX 1180 Spec and Performance comparison AMD VS Nvidia GPUs

This a comparison between the 1180’s expected specs and other Graphics cards

The GTX 1180 is expected to be one of the most powerful consumer gaming GPU of all time. If the rumors are to be believed the GTX 1180 is going to feature specs that are more powerful then the Nvidia Titan XP but it will cost only $700 while the GTX 1180 costs $1200.

According to recent rumors, the GTX 1180 is going to have 3584 Cuda Cores, 16GB of VRAM, 1600MHz core clock, 1800MHz boost clock, 13 TFLOPS, 16 Gbps Memory Speed, and a TDP of 170 to 200 watts. For comparison, the Nvidia Titan XP features 3840 Cuda Cores, 96 ROPs, 1582 MHz Boost Clock, 1481 MHz Core Clock, 12.1 Tflops, 11.4Gbps GDDR5X, and 12 GB of VRAM. If the GTX 1180 does feature these specs then it will be one of the strongest GPUs of all time especially when you compare the price to other GPUs and specs. On the AMD side is the Radeon RX 580. The RX 580 features 1340 MHz Boost Clock, 5,788 GFLOPS, 8 GB VRAM, and 256 GB/S Memory Bandwidth. If AMD doesn’t release a new GPU which they will probably do sometime this summer. The RX 580 is no competition for the Nvidia GTX 1180. The GTX 1180 will likely be able to play every game at 4k high to ultra settings at 60FPS.

Thanks to benchmarks done by YouTuber DudeRandom84 we know how the Titan XP performs. While everything on GTA V was set at the highest settings and it was running at 4k the game was able to always stay at a smooth 60 FPS expect for really grassy areas in which the FPS fell to 45. The Witcher 3 is another demanding game. While everything was set on ultra settings and the game running at 4k the game was able to stay at a smooth 60 FPS for most of the run going down to the low 50s in intense scenes.

According to the rumors, the GTX 1180 is going to be a bit stronger than the Titan XP so we can expect to be able to play demanding games such as GTA V and the Witcher 3 at ultra settings 4k 60 FPS. The GTX 1180 is going to be revolutionary for the gaming market.
