NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1180 Specs Spotted, Expected Price & Release Date

GeForce GTX 1180 seems to be even more powerful than a NVIDIA Titan Xp

It was the long expected GTX 1180 specs that were leaked online a while ago, but now, it is confirmed and more details have been posted in the TechPowerUp GPU database. The data comes from an engineering version of the gpu and some specs could change in the final model coming probably in summer 2018, the listing’s appearance does suggest that the highly anticipated card could be here soon.

Some of the specifications are confirmation of what appeared in previous leaks, including the use of TSMC’s 12nm FinFET process, 3584 CUDA cores, 224 texture mapping units and 64 ROPs. While it had been reported that the GTX 1180 would feature “8-16GB” of DDR6 memory, the entry lists it as 16GB. Additionally, memory bandwidth is shown as 384GB/s, whereas it was rumored to be 512GB/s. At 200W, slightly more than the GTX 1080’s 180W but less than the 1080 Ti’s 250W. The GPU core clock is listed as 1405 MHz while the base boost clock is 1582 MHz.

The GTX 1180 will apparently run with 3,584 CUDA cores, compared to the GTX 1080’s complement of 2,560. It boasts 224 TMUs (versus 160 Texture Mapping Units on the 1080) and is built on a 12nm process (as opposed to 16nm). you know the “Volta” generation with the Titan V enterprise card or tesla sub brand, but consumers will be looking for something more affordable and down to earth. Although it may debut under the “Turing” banner

GTX 1180 could launch as soon as July or August, and unveiling at Computex might not be out of the question. The price, we’re expecting somewhere between $699 and $799.
