Halo is one of the most popular gaming series of all time. This series has brought millions of people into gaming and its one of the best first-party Microsoft games. Some Halo games are a system seller. Unfortunately, Halo 5 wasn’t as good as gamers hoped on the Xbox One so it never really got that big, but Microsoft has recently revealed their new Halo game, Halo Infinite. Although we haven’t got a lot of info about the new Halo game, it looks exciting. According to a job post by Microsoft, Halo Infinite is going to feature microtransactions and features that keep gamers coming back.

Microsoft wrote on their website, “343 Industries is looking for an experienced Online Experience Design Director to lead and join our Halo team. This is an exciting and rare opportunity to impact the future of one of the industry’s most successful franchises through your creative and leadership skills.

You will oversee and provide vision for multiple facets of design and its implementation. This includes: Progression in- and out-of-game; microtransactions and integration of our business plan throughout the game; and, finally, social and engagement features that encourage players to return again and again with their friends.”

Halo Infinite is likely going to feature cosmetic microtransactions as Microsoft probably wouldn’t want to make the same mistake as EA’s Battlefront II. Microtransactions are expected, but the exciting part is the multiplayer mode. It seems like the online mode is going to get frequent updates or features that keep gamers coming back. They will probably do it with regular updates similair to Fortnite and maybe a battle royal mode. Battle royal is very popular right now so it’s not very unlikely for Microsoft to implement a battle royal mode in the game. A battle royal mode can easily be updated frequently, and that will encourage gamers to come back to test out the new maps or guns.
