Streaming was a big topic in 2018. Game Streaming has been on the rise thanks to services such as Sony’s PS Now and Nvidia Shield. Nvidia Shield allowed gamers with low-end systems to play the latest triple-A games that they wouldn’t have been able to run normally at 60 FPS. The problem with this system is the internet. Many gamers around the world don’t have wifi that is fast enough to stream games without a lot of lag and issues. Microsoft hasn’t implemented a game streaming service to the Xbox One but, according to the latest rumors they have held off game streaming for the next-gen Xbox.

Thanks to Scarlett Cloud, gamers are going to be able to buy the latest rumor for a price a lot less than $400. The next-gen Xbox console or Xbox 2 is going to be a game streaming console, similair to something like an Apple TV, but much cheaper and a bit more powerful. Thanks to the low power needed to stream games, Microsoft is able to make a very cheap device that will cost you a lot less than $300. When you buy the console, you will likely be able to buy the latest games from the Microsoft store and start playing it right when you buy it. No more annoying updates that disrupt your gaming session.

Game Streaming is a highly controversial issue. To stream games without a lot of lag, you will need fast wifi unless you want to run the game at 720p. Most gamers around the world don’t have access to wifi fast enough to stream games at 1080p 60 FPS but even if everyone had fast wifi, Microsoft and Sony still wouldn’t be able to do it. It takes a lot of work and money to make a proper streaming system.
