Don’t Get Your Hopes up, the Playstation 5 (PS5) isn’t Going to be That Powerful (Latest Spec Leaks)

The PS 5 isn’t Going to be That Powerful

Gamers are very excited to see the next-generation of consoles. Thanks to the Xbox One X and PS 4 Pro, gamers are able to enjoy the latest triple-A games at 4k 30 FPS. On the Xbox One X, some games look stunning, especially when compared to the original Xbox. Although most games run at 4k, at 4k, games mostly ran at 30 FPS medium to high settings and if you wanted 60 FPS ultra you have to go down to 1080p. Of course, 1080p 60 FPS ultra is really good for consoles but that’s still not 4k.

PS 5 Leaked Specs

As of writing this article, Sony hasn’t commented on PS 5’s specs but thanks to numerous leaks we know what we should be expecting. According to the latest rumors, the PS 5 is going to use a 7nm GPU, AMD Navi. AMD Navi hasn’t been released yet but when it is, its expected to take the gaming world by storm.

It seems like the next-gen consoles aren’t going to be held back because of an outdated processor. According to the latest rumors, the Sony PlayStation 5 is going to use the AMD Ryzen Processor. This means that it will feature a beefy CPU. Considering that the Xbox One and PS 4 used pretty outdated CPUs, this should be good news to fans of the PS 5.

(Place in the Quote feature that puts a red border around it) “A principal programmer at Sony associated with the firm’s Advanced Technology Group is working with AMD’s Ryzen technology, improving the Zen core’s micro-architecture support within the LLVM compiler stack – a key component of a tool used in the PlayStation 4 development environment. Of course, there is no PS4 product using the Ryzen processor, leading to speculation that this is related to a prospective next-gen PlayStation 5 console currently in development.”

Will it Do 4K 60 FPS?

Yes, it will definitely be able to run some games at 4K but 60 FPS might not be possible, at least if you want the game to look decent. 4k 60 FPS takes a lot of power to run, even the RTX 2080 TI isn’t able to run every game at 4K 60 FPS and that is a $1200 GPU! So no, 4k 60 FPS ultra isn’t happening. Most games on the PS 5 will look better than the games on the Xbox One X, but there wouldn’t be a massive difference

Remember these are just rumors, take them with a grain of salt.
