Leaks: AMD Navi Next-Gen 7nm GPUs to be Released Really Soon
AMD’s Next-Gen 7nm GPUs Are Most Likely a Few Weeks Away

AMD Radeon GPU
AMD hasn’t been doing that well in the gaming GPU market. The AMD Vega GPUs are AMD’s most powerful graphics cards but, when compared to Nvidia GPUs Vega isn’t very powerful and overpriced. Nvidia controls most of the GPU market thanks to RTX but, according to the latest rumors, AMD Navi will be able to dethrone Nvidia and get a much bigger market share. Thanks to AMD themselves we know that Navi is coming soon but they haven’t given us an exact release date.
AMD to Release Navi Series GPUs Soon
Thanks to AMD, we know that Navi is going to be announced at CES 2019 on January 9 at 9:00 AM in the Venetian Palazzo Ballroom. AMD is expected to finally show off their next-gen 7nm Navi GPUs and 7nm Zen 2 CPUs. The low-end Navi GPUs, Navi 12 and Navi 10 are rumored to be released in early 2019, likely a month or two after they are announced at CES 2019. AMD usualy releases their hardware a bit after they are announced so expect to see Navi sometime in February to March 2019.
AMD to Release Three Different Navi Series GPUs
According to many credible sources around the internet, we know that AMD is going to release three different Navi series GPUs. First Navi 12 and Navi 10 are rumored to be released in 2019 (likely at the same time) and the high-end Navi GPU series Navi 20 is going to be released in 2020.
The RX 3060 and 3070 are based on the Navi 12 architecture and RX 3080 is going to be based on the Navi 10 architecture. The RX 3060 is going to cost you $129.99 and it is rumored to feature 4Gb of GDDR6 RAM and a TDP of 75W. The RX 3070 is going to feature 8GB of GDDR6 VRAM, a TDP of 120w and its expected to cost you around $200. The RX 3080 is going to feature 8Gb of GDDR6 VRAM, a TDP of 150W, and its rumored to cost $249.99.
The AMD RX 2060 is rumored to perform like the RX 580, the RX 3070 is rumored to perform like Vega 56, and the RX 3080 is rumored to perform about 15% better than Vega 64. AMD might do the same thing as Nvidia did with RTX in terms of the pricing. The MSRP of the RTX GPUs are $100 less than Nvidia sells the founders editions for. AMD might make the RX 3000 series GPUs $100 more than the rumored MSRP. That would make more sense as $249.99 seems way too good to be true for a GPU that can perform 15% better than Vega 64.
