The best laptops for gaming can only be determined by your budget and how hardcore you want to go. As it is mentioned in many laptop buying guides, most hardcore gamers know what exactly they should consider before buying gaming laptops that will suit them comfortably. You find that they look for the most powerful computer with many features. Though, at some point, they forget to consider other important features such as weight and portability.
Fans may also prefer brands of their own but Asus, MSI, Acer and Alienware are among the laptop makers that create best gaming laptops. In 2018, two gaming laptops got a lot of attention, the asus series that was called ” world’s slimmest gaming laptop : ASUS Announced The Republic of Gamers (ROG) Zephyrus M” and also like always the Alienware 15 r3. The price for these two have been at almost the high end of the market. Mostly based on the strong new features and design. But you can also find many good options in the lower end of the market that we introduce in the article.

Here are some good choices for both hardcore and entry gaming:
MSI GV62.
MSI has always had a reputation of delivering lighter and performance intensive laptops which rival the likes of Premium Alienware, and they have delivered it in a pocket-friendly manner.
MSI GV62 which we have picked comes with an ideal 15.6” 4K display. It offers an Intel i5-8300H. As for the Graphics department (which most of the rookies like to look at first), MSI GV62 gives its user a standard Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti. Some might consider this to be good, but as of now, it is like a minimum standard.
The clock rate is just 2.3GHz on a factory model which is a let-down. As for the RAM section, MSI GV62 gives a sweet 16GB RAM (SDRAM). Considering other contenders on this list, we would say that MSI GV62 is definitely a very good choice. To top it off, you get a 1TB storage.
MSI GV62 is available for $699 on Amazon. You can find other variants like i7/128GB SSD + 1 TB HDD combo. But this variant with 16GB Optane memory is a better choice, budget wise.
2- Dell XPS 15 9570 Series.
Here we are talking about XPS9570-5632SLV-PUS model specifically. If you are a Big Bang Theory fan, you should know that Leonard uses an XPS 15. While the XPS series was originally meant for work- purposes, the P in XPS stands for performance. And that’s exactly what 9570 Series offers.
Under the Hood is 8th Gen Intel i5 coupled with an 8GB DDR4 RAM. The clock rate on the factory model is 4GHz which is better than MSI GV62. But one may think that they are getting less in terms of memory and storage. The Dell XPS 15 XPS9570-5632SLV-PUS offers a 128 GB SSD memory. At this point, you should be aware that SSD costs far more than DHH because it is faster. As for the Graphics Department, you get an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050 with this Laptop.
3-HP Pavilion 15-cx0056wm Series.
Moving on we have HP Pavilion 15-cx0056wm. Compared to the previous Budget Gaming Laptops on this list, HP Pavilion 15–cx0056wm is like a compromise between the two. It certainly is cheaper than both MSI GV62 and Dell XPS 15.
With this Budget Gaming Laptop, you get a 2.4GHz core of Intel i5-7th generation processor. This certainly is like a step back from the previous two, but you also get an Nvidia GeForce GTX 1050Ti no less which is better than what you get with Dell XPS 15. As for the storage, HP Pavilion gives you a good 1TB SSD. It is a bit heavier than Dell XPS 15.
This budget gaming laptop is smaller than the previous two but has the capability of delivering a good experience for a 15” Gaming Laptop.
4-ASUS TUF Gaming Laptop FX504.
Next on the list is Asus TUF Gaming Laptop FX504. While it may rank 4th on our list, it can give HP Pavilion 15-cx0056wm Series a run for its money. It certainly is cheaper than Dell XPS 15.
With ASUS TUF FX504, you get an Intel 8th generation i5 processor. The clock rate is 2.3GHz. This can very well increase beyond 3GHz (safely up to 3.9GHz). A DDR4 RAM of 8GB gives you a standard memory capacity coupled with an Nvidia GeForce 1050. Where ASUS TUF FX504 does better is the cooling department. You get anti-dust tunnels and dual fan system to keep your system cool during heavy Gaming sessions. ASUS TUF FX504 gives you a good 256GB SSD storage.
As far as 15” budget gaming laptops go, ASUS TUF is not a bad idea.
5-Acer Aspire E 15.
Last on our list of budget gaming laptops is Acer Aspire E 15. Buy this budget gaming laptop if you have no other choice. That is how we would like to put it. While Acer Aspire E 15 certainly is the cheapest laptop on this list, we would recommend it as a last resort.
Acer Aspire E 15 gives you a 15.6” display. You get an Intel 8th Generation i5 Processor. As for the Memory department, Acer Aspire E 15 gives you a standard 8GB SDRAM. The clock rate on its processor is just 1.6GHz. As for the Graphics, you get an Nvidia GeForce MX150. This is certainly a let-down. It might last you for a while, but with the introduction of bad-boy RTX in the market and 1050 and 1050Ti becoming the new standard, MX150 is soon going to become obsolete. The storage is the same as that of ASUS TUF FX504, i.e., 256GB Solid State Drive. The cooling of Acer Aspire E 15 is at best average.
All this has caused Acer Aspire E 15 earn the ire of the gaming community since you can get better specs for just a bit more. However, if you have a strict budget and not a distant future in mind, then you can go for Acer Aspire E 15.
