ASUS just released the first Ryzen 3000 gaming laptops
One model of the new Ryzen 3000 mobile CPU series, the 3550H, is now launched in the ASUS TUF Gaming FX505 and FX507 notebooks.
two laptops from the same new line by ASUS, that is. They are the 15.6-inch ASUS TUF Gaming FX505 and the 17.3-inch ASUS TUF Gaming FX507. Both models pack the 12-nanometer Ryzen 3550H processor, which has a 2.1GHz base clock, but can be boosted to 3.7GHz. It is paired with the RX 560X dedicated GPU. The RX 560X is a 1.2GHz chipset based on the Vega 8 architecture and has 512 stream processors. It has a TDP of 35 watts and a 6MB cache. This GPU has 4GB of memory in both new TUF Gaming models. The FX505 and FX507 have LED-backlit full-HD (1920×1080) Anti-Glare IPS-level Panel with 45% NTSC and Radeon FreeSync. The FX507’s panel has a 60Hz refresh rate, whereas this spec can be enhanced to 120Hz in the 15-inch version.

Both models come with a variety of storage options: either a 1TB 5400rpm hybrid drive; a 1TB 5400rpm S-ATA spinning hard drive; or a PCIe Gen3 solid-state drive (manufacturer not given) at 128, 256 or 512GB capacities. The new Ryzen 3550H ASUS laptops come in durable casings with minimal bezels, RGB-lit rear logos, optional tunable keyboard back-lighting and MIL-STD-810G ratings. They are not available for retail yet, but are projected to cost about US$789 for the FX505 and $900 for the FX507.
