AMD Zen 2 Coming in 2 Months, 10nm Intel CPUs far from release
Zen 2 is Rumored to Come Out in July
Right now, Intel’s controls most of the gaming market with their Coffee Lake CPUs. Although AMD’s Ryzen CPUs have more cores and threads, the lower single-core performance causes the CPUs to perform significantly worse than Intel’s Coffee Lake CPUs in video games. AMD’s next-gen 7nm Zen 2 CPUs are going to blow away Coffee Lake as it’ll feature high core counts and, good single-core performance for a very low price.
Intel Having A lot of Trouble With 10nm CPUs
Rumors started going around the internet claiming that Intel’s 10nm CPUs have been canceled but, Intel quickly Tweeted that those rumors were fake. “Media reports published today that Intel is ending work on the 10nm process are untrue. We are making good progress on 10nm. Yields are improving consistent with the timeline we shared during our last earnings report.” Although Intel’s claims of doing well with 10nm CPUs don’t seem to be true as their 10nm CPUs have been delayed numerous times. A while back rumors were claiming that Intel 10nm is coming out in 2019 but, we know that not to be true. Intel is having a lot of issues with their 10nm CPUs and it seems like we aren’t going to see it in the market for a long time.
AMD Zen 2 Leaked Specs List
Although AMD hasn’t given us a lot of official info about their next-gen 7nm Zen 2 CPUs, we do have a leaked specs list that seems very realistic.

AMD Zen 2 Official Benchmarks:
Unfortunately, we didn’t get a lot of info about AMD’s next-gen 7nm Zen 2 CPUs, AMD did give us some benchmark scores of Zen 2 in Cinebench R15. Although the Intel Core I9-9900k only scored 2,040, the 8 core/16 threads variant of Zen 2 scored 2,057. Not only that but AMD also revealed that the Zen 2 system only used 130w-132w of power while the Core I9-9900k system used 180w of power. If the specs list above is real, a $229 Ryzen 5 3600x is going to be able to outperform the $500 Intel Core I9-9900k and, it’ll use way less power which means you’ll have a lot of room for overclocking.
When is AMD Zen 2 Coming Out?
Although all AMD told us is that Zen 2 is coming out in 2019, rumors claim that it’s going to be announced at Computex 2019 and released on July 7th or 7/7/19. It is said that AMD chose the 7/7 release date for marketing because they’re going to release 7nm CPUs and GPUs on the same day.
