AMD Reaches $33 With 7nm Zen 2 Specs Revealed Buy AMD! | Intel Doesn’t Have a Chance

Zen 2 is Going to be Powerful

Intel, Ryzen

Right now, Intel controls most of the market thanks to their 8th Generation Intel processors but, it seems like that’s going to change when AMD’s 7nm next-gen CPUs are released. AMD revealed the specs for their next-gen Zen 2 CPUs on the 10th of June which made AMD stocks jump to $33.23.

AMD Zen 2 Official Specs

Let’s start off with the entry Zen 2 CPU, the Ryzen 5 3600 which is going to feature 6 cores/12 threads, a boost clock of 4.2 GHz, and 32 MB of L3 cache and you can get all of this for the low price of $99. For comparison, the $130 Intel Core I3-8100 features 4 cores/4 threads and a boost clock of 3.6GHz as well as 6mb of the smart cache. As you can see, AMD is going to blow away Intel in the low-end market. Now let’s talk about the $300 price range which is known as the sweet spot for gaming. The Ryzen 7 3700X which you can pick up for $329 features 8 cores/16 threads, a 4.4GHz boost clock, and 32mb of L3 cache. The Intel Core I7-8700 features a max frequency of 4.6 GHz, 6 cores/12 threads, and 12mb of L3 cache. You can pick up this CPU for $299 on Newegg right now. Also, the i7-8700 is locked which means there is no overclocking. By doing a bit of overclocking, you can probably push the Ryzen 7 3700x passed 4.6GHz without a lot of issues.

AMD Stocks Jump to $33

If you follow the stock market you may have noticed that AMD has started doing really well. On June 5th, AMD’s stock was at $29.50 a share and it jumped to $33.23 in 5 days. E3 has been really good news for AMD. At the start of the month, AMD was at $27.41 a share and as of now, they’re at $32.18. Zen 2 is going to come out on July 7th and AMD will probably destroy Intel’s competing CPUs in benchmarks which means that AMD stocks may even pass $50. Of course, AMD Navi has to perform well and if Nvidia’s GPU refreshes surpass Navi, AMD will have a hard time reaching $50.
