Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds team has become a company

Player Unknowns Battlegrounds has already sold millions of copies on PC and has made Bluehole very rich. For that reason, Bluehole is creating a company that will focus on PUBG alone.  

The new company will be called PUBG Corp, and it will “accelerate overall business development and managing global operations” for PUBG. PUBG Corp’s chief executive officer is Chang Han Kim (PUBG’s executive producer). Chang Han Kim told the press, “Given Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds global success, we want to ensure that we have the operational efficiency that is required to support the game globally. This new structure allows us to be nimble as we look towards the expansion of strategic business opportunities that include the game’s potential in the esports sector and the growth of PUBG as a true global IP franchise.” PUBG corp’s headquarters will be in South Korea and their second office will be in Madison Wisconson, they have plans for an office in Japan and Europe.

Brendan Greene (PUBg’s dev) revealed new plans for a survival game and many fans were worried after PUBG gets released they will abandon the game and work on the new game. It seems like Greene wasn’t lying when he said, “This game to us is not just a game that we’re going to push out a full launch and stop working on. We want to go back to it in maybe a year’s time and look at doing like Erangel 2.0 with everything we’ve learned over the past year and just redoing the whole island to make it that little bit better and more polished.” He also said we would get more PUBG content for 5-10 more years.
