Yes Volta Now is being used in Tesla V100 and Tesla V100 is the most Advanced Data Center GPU Ever Built by Volta. Volta Graphic Processors built on Nvidia seventh-generation Volta architecture. It’s the most powerful graphics processor platform the company has ever produced capable of 7.5 TFLOP/s of double precision floating-point (FP64) and 15 TFLOP/s of single precision (FP32) performance. Right now the Tesla V100 is being used in data centers and supercomputers and companies working in AI and huge data loads, but all gamers that kkeep up with the news are wondering for a while now that when Nvidia will start making Volta gaming GPUs. Many thought we’d start seeing the first Volta cards coming out later this year, But no. They may have started making them but not going to release them. The pascal is working big time right now and it feels good for Nvidia to keep it for the time that the market is much more hungry and needs a refresh. Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang actually mentioned that they are satisfied with th current pascal performance and they are not going to release the Volta gaming graphics any soon. AMD have been competitive and maybe the reason Nvidia released the new gtx 1070 ti and then the titan x is that AMD RX Vega 56 beat the 1070 graphics but still the 1080 TI is at the top of the list.

And all I can say is that our pipeline is filled with some exciting new toys for the gamers, and we have some really exciting new technology to offer them in the pipeline. But for the holiday season for the foreseeable future, I think Pascal is just unbeatable. It’s just the best thing out there. Nvidia is working and campaigning on AI so hard you think they are changing their market focus from gaming to AI. Of course Nvidia has worked on these areas but not as much as today the Coda and GUPs have been used in huge data load processing. NVIDIA unveiled recently that the world’s first artificial intelligence computer designed specially and only to drive fully autonomous robotaxis. NVIDIA DRIVE PX Pegasus is able to deliver over 320 trillion operations per second and it is more than 10x the performance of its predecessor, NVIDIA DRIVE PX 2. Out Of the 225 partners developing on the NVIDIA DRIVE PX platform, more than 25 are developing fully autonomous robotaxis using NVIDIA CUDA GPUs.

Nvidia is not in a rush at all right now to release and replace Volta cards with the Pascal architecture. The GeForce GTX with pascal line is selling very well, and the 1080 Ti is still considered the strongest graphics card and the new Amd RX Vega graphics have not changed that. Nvidia has not talked about using Volta in gaming much, apart from appearing on oft-changing GPU roadmaps, but we’re starting to see more wider mentions of the technology specificly releated to AI Technology not gaming though. Early 2018 is still probably the most realistic release date for the consumer version of the Volta GPU for gaming but still it deeply depends on what AMD bring on. NVIDIA DRIVE PX Pegasus is basically powered by 4 high-performance AI processors. Its made of two of NVIDIA’s latest Xavier processors featuring an embedded GPU based system on the NVIDIA Volta architecture, with two next-generation discrete GPUs with hardware created for accelerating deep learning and computer vision algorithms.
