AMD 7nm Next-Gen Navi GPUs Spotted in MacOS Mojave update (Release Date)

AMD Navi Has Been Found in MacOs Mojave Source Code 

AMD has already announced AMD Vega VII, the world’s first 7nm gaming GPU but, we didn’t hear anything about AMD Navi GPU series. A while ago rumors started going around claiming that AMD Navi is going to be released sometime in July and, this leak has shown that a July release date isn’t very unlikely.

AMD Navi Spotted

A file named “AMDRadeon6000HWServiceskext” in MacOS Mojave update lists four variants of AMD Navi, Navi 16, Navi 12, Navi 10 and Navi 9. Videocardz claims that the numbers may describe the number of Compute Units that is enabaled on each GPU. The fact that AMD Navi is even in the code shows that Navi isn’t very far from release. These cards are most likely going to target the mid-end and low-end market as we already know that Radeon VII is going to be AMD’s top-tier GPU for a long time, 

AMD to Release Three Different Navi Variants

Rumors from the past have claimed that AMD is going to release three different AMD Navi variants but, the latest leak claims that we are going to see 4 different Navi variants. The old leak claimed that AMD is going to release the lower-end Navi cards, RX 3060 and RX 3070 based on the Navi 12 architecture and, RX 3080 (Navi 10) in 2019. The top-tier Navi card is going to be released in 2020. Of course, some of the AMD Navi GPUs that have been spotted maybe exclusively for the mobile market or costume Navi GPUs made for Apple. Unfortunately, these two are the only major rumors we have gotten about AMD Navi. Gamers were hoping to see AMD Navi mentioned at AMD’s keynote in CES 2019 but, AMD didn’t really mention Navi. We will have to wait and see, AMD will probably release Navi in a few months.
