Asus Zenfone 5Z, The value flagship of the smartphone market is coming to the US on August 13
Asus’ main flagship for the year, the Zenfone 5Z is finally making it over to the US. While currently unavailable, it’s said to be on pre-order at the moment and will go on sale on August 13 with the price tag of US$499.
Asus launched its Zenfone 5 around Asia and Europe a while ago. only the Zenfone 5 Lite has made it to the US, with it being re-branded as the Zenfone 5Q for the market. Apparently, yet another smartphone in the lineup is coming to the US, and on August 13. The Asus Zenfone 5Z is Asus’ top of the line device. It’s powered by a Snapdragon 845, and features 6 GB of RAM, 64 GB of storage, a 12 MP + 8 MP rear camera setup, a 3300 mAh battery, and a notched 6.2-inch FHD+ display. The Zenfone 5Z is currently on pre-order and will set buyers back US$499, which is as much value as one can possibly get from a smartphone right now. The only mainstream current-gen flagships that pose a threat to that stake are the Huawei Mate 10 Pro and OnePlus 6. Of course, there’s also the Honor View 10—which is admittedly cheaper but it’s a worse device by most metrics.
