Star Wars Battlefront (2015) was very disappointing to gamers, and when EA announced Star Wars Battlefront 2 fans were very excited, and EA hyped the game. The fans were thrilled until gamers realized loot boxes gave players that bought it advantages so many gamers said Battlefront 2 is a pay to win. It took a very long time to unlock heroes in Battlefront 2, so EA got a lot of criticism for that.
In a blog post, EA announced they are cutting Battlefront 2 heroes prices by a lot of credits. EA is reducing Battlefront 2 hero prices by 75%. With the new update, Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader will be available to players for 15,000 credits. Chewbacca, Leia Organa, and Palpatine will cost gamers 10,000 credits in Battlefront 2, Iden Versio (Battlefront 2’s main character in the campaign) will be available for 5,000 credits. EA thinks it’s going to be challenging for players to buy the characters, but they are available to all players.
A Reddit user called TheHotterPotato said it takes 40 hours to unlock Darth Vader or Luke in Battlefront 2 (before the cut prices.) TheHotterPotato said the average Galactic assault match takes 11:09 to finish a game and players earn 275 credits per match on average. So gamers earn 25.04 credits per minute in a Galactic assault match. So they did some math and figured out that it will take gamers 40 hours to unlock a 60,000 credit Star Wars Battlefront 2 hero. Right now it will take you 599.041 minutes or roughly 10 hours of gameplay to unlock a 15,000 credit hero. That’s still a long time but it’s a lot better than 40 minutes, and EA might cut the hero prices again or give players more credits.
