Since the Xbox One X we have heard about patches that improve performance and graphics in the Xbox One X. The PC gets updates that improve performance on the PC but not that many game patches on the PC add graphic settings. HDR support might be coming to Ghost Recon Wildlands PC and Ubisoft has shared more info about Ghost Recon Wildland’s Xbox One X update.
Ubisoft Paris told wccftech that the Ghost Recon Wildlands team is looking into High Dynamic Range (aka HDR) support for the Ghost Recon Wildlands PC version. This is happy news for PC gamers because Ubisoft has added HDR to console versions of their games not PC versions. There are not a lot of HDR monitors out there so many gamers will not be able to use HDR. Ubisoft also told them there exprience of developing for the Xbox One X and they told them some info about Ghost Recon Wildland’s Xbox One X patch. Ubisoft told wccftech that Xbox One X’s higher power allowed them to increase many of Ghost Recon Wildlands important features and they worked with Microsoft to drive the Xbox One X to it’s limits. Ubisoft told wccftech that they improved drw distance, increased resolution, better “terrain representation”, and HDR support. The Xbox One X patch added Increased texture cache, Increased object draw distance, Anisotropic filtering, better terrain texture resolution, better antialiasing, and more. Last week Ubisoft added a new PvP mode to Ghost Recon Wildlands called Uplink. Teams of 4 will fight each other and the objective is to hack the access point in the center of the map another way to win is killing everyone on the other team. Ubisoft added 4 maps just for Uplink. The maps are Warehouse, Burnout, Sub Factory, and Oil Rush. You can read all the patch notes here.
