GTA V was PS Store’s Top Downloaded Game In June
GTA V Did Amazing in June
GTA games are one of the few games that can survive time. Rockstar released GTA IV in 2008 and GTA V in 2013, but gamers were still playing GTA IV until Rockstar released GTA V. GTA V was released all the way back in 2013, but it is still selling like crazy. Every lobby is full of players in GTA Online while other games such as Battlefield 1 was released in 2016 but barely anyone playing it. Rockstar is regularly releasing new content for GTA V such as the nightclub DLC that is going to come out real soon. These DLCs are free. The DLCs usually add new cosmetic items or weapons, new vehicles, new game modes, and sometimes new business to buy. Although GTA V is very old, gamers are still buying it.
According to info released by Sony’s blog, Grand Theft Auto V rules the PS Store Charts. You’d think that a newer game such as God of War or Jurassic World Evolution is going to become the top-selling game. GTA V is followed by FIFA 18 in second place and God of War in third place. Another GTA game dominated the PlayStation Store downloads. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas was the most downloaded PS 4 game from older Sony consoles on the PSN Store.
Surprisingly Fortnite Battle Royal wasn’t the most downloaded free-to-play it was H1Z1: Battle Royale. Fortnite came in second, and Fallout Shelter came in third. H1Z1 received massive updates to its battle royal mode. The new updates got players back into the game.
On PS VR the most downloaded video game was Job Simulator and followed by SUPERHOT VR. Job Simulator is arguably the most popular VR game. Job Simulator allows players to fool around in many different jobs. These jobs include working at a fast food and being a mechanic.
