Latest Leaks: 7nm AMD Navi Has a Big Chance to Beat Nvidia RTX

AMD Navi is a Few Weeks Away

AMD’s next generation of 7nm  graphics cards are only a few weeks away from being announced and hopefully, released. AMD has been hyping them up and saying that Navi is going to revolutionize the gaming market and “catapult computing, gaming, and visualization technologies forward.” Thanks to many rumors, we know that the Navi GPUs coming out in 2019  aren’t going to be very powerful when compared to RTX.

AMD to Release Navi 12 and Navi 10 in 2019

Thanks to recent rumors, we know that AMD is going to release the lower-end 7nm Navi cards, Navi 12 and Navi 10 in 2019 while the higher-end cards, Navi 20 are coming out in 2020. The RX 3060 and RX 3070 are going to be based on the Navi 12 architecture and the RX 3080 is going to be based on the Navi 10 architecture. The RX 3060 is rumored to have an MSRP of $129.99 and it is expected to feature 4Gb of GDDR6 RAM and a TDP of 75W. The RX 3060 is said to perform like the RX 580. The RX 3070 is rumored to have an MSRP of $249.99 and feature 8gb of GDDR6 VRAM and a TDP of 120w. The RX 3070 is expected to perform like Vega 56. The RX 3080 is rumored to have an MSRP of  $249.99 and feature  8Gb of GDDR6 VRAM and a TDP of 150. It is rumored to perform 15% better than Vega 64.

AMD has a Big Chance to Beat RTX

If these prices are real, Nvidia has no chance. The RTX 2070 will cost you at least $500 and it performs a little bit better than the GTX 1080. If the RX 3080 is priced at $249.99 and performs 15%  better then Vega 64, Nvidia can’t do much. The RX 3080 is going to perform similair to the Rtx 2070 but ost $250 less. It probably wouldn’t feature ray tracing but, is ray tracing really worth $250?
