Nvidia RTX Performance is Very Disappointing While 7nm AMD Navi Gaming GPU is Coming Out Next Year (Latest Rumors)
AMD Navi is Rumored to Come Out in 2019

AMD is going to release the worlds first 7nm gaming GPU in 2019. Thanks to its 7nm architecture, AMD Navi is going to be more power efficient than current GPUs available in the gaming market. Developers will be able to give it less power but get more performance in return. This gives AMD a big lead over Nvidia in the portable gaming market. You will be able to play triple-A games on a slim and light gaming laptop. Things don’t look too well for Nvidia as RTX is very disappointing and Navi is coming out next year.
AMD Navi Rumored to Come Out in 2019
Thanks to recent rumors, we know that AMD is going to release two Navi GPU series. First AMD is going to release Navi 12 in 1H 2019. Navi 10 might have been scrapped or it might be released after Navi 12 in late 2019 or 2020. The lower-end cards are going to match mid-end gaming GPUs but the higher-end cards, Navi 20 is going to be released Sometime in 2020-2021. The Navi 20 series GPUs are going to be the cards that’ll compete with Nvidia RTX.
AMD Navi is going to be announced at CES 2019. AMD’s CEO Dr. Lisa Su will deliver a keynote at CES in which she will announce AMD Navi and Ryzen 2. The keynote is going to take place on Wednesday, January 9 at 9:00 AM in the Venetian Palazzo Ballroom.
Gary Shapiro said, “In 2019, AMD will catapult computing, gaming, and visualization technologies forward with the world’s first 7nm high-performance CPUs and GPUs, providing the power required to reach technology’s next horizon. During her CES keynote, Dr. Su and guests will provide a view into the diverse applications for new computing technologies ranging from solving some of the world’s toughest challenges to the future of gaming, entertainment and virtual reality with the potential to redefine modern life.”
Nvidia RTX Performance is Very Disappointing
Before Nvidia RTX came out, it was hyped up by news outlets and Nvidia themselves claiming that RTX is going to be revelutionary for the gaming market. Unfortunatly for Nvidia, RTX wasn’t able to live up to gamer’s expectations because of its lackluster performance. When you compare RTX to last-gen GPUs at the same price point, there is only a 10%-15% performance gain. Usualy there is at least a 30% performance gain over last-gen cards but, that’s not the case with Nvidia RTX. It seems like Nvidia focused too much on ray tracing and forgot about gamers.
