Microsoft is in talks with Bluehole to expand PUBG exclusivity deal

According to Bloomberg people familiar with the matter are saying Bluehole is talking to Microsoft about extending their exclusive deal.

People that don’t want to be identified told Bloomberg Bluehole has made a deal with Microsoft to release PUBG on Xbox first and release the game on PS 4 after a few months. If Microsoft makes a good deal with Bluehole, they might make PUBG a Xbox exclusive for a longer time. Yesterday  Bloomberg said, “Bluehole is in talks with Sony about introducing a version for the PlayStation.”

Players have criticised the Microsoft for not releasing enough exclusives on the Xbox One. Many players are switching to the Ps4 because Xbox One doesn’t have enough exclusives. Thier are 4 full Xbox One exclusives Natsuki Chronicle, Shooting Love Trilogy, Yomi wo Saku Hana, and The Toilet Chronicle. All the other announced Xbox One games are coming to PC or the Xbox 360.

PUBG has already sold 10mil+ copies, and it is consistently beating games such as League of Legends and Dota 2 in Twitch. The game has been so successful that the PUBG team has become a company. The new company will be called PUBG Corp, and it will “accelerate overall business development and managing global operations” for PUBG.

PUBG Corp’s chief executive officer is Chang Han Kim (PUBG’s executive producer). Chang Han Kim told the press, “Given Playerunknown’s Battlegrounds global success, we want to ensure that we have the operational efficiency that is required to support the game globally. This new structure allows us to be nimble as we look towards the expansion of strategic business opportunities that include the game’s potential in the esports sector and the growth of PUBG as a true global IP franchise.” PUBG corp’s headquarters will be in South Korea and their second office will be in Madison Wisconson, they have plans for an office in Japan and Europe.
