For many gaming companies such as Nintendo and Sony 2017 was one of their best years but it was the exact opposite for EA. Most thanks to microtransactions and pay to win specifically Star Wars Battlefront 2 EA got a lot of haste for it. For people that don’t know in Star Wars Battlefront 2 there was a pay to win system. When a gamer figured out that it will take gamers  40 hours of gameplay to unlock Darth Vader or Luke in Star Wars Battlefront 2. Gamers earned 25.04 credits per minute on average in Star Wars Battlefront 2 and by doing some math they figured out that it takes 40 hours to unlock a Star Wars Battlefront 2 hero that costs 60,000 credits. So EA got a lot of hate so they cut the hero prices by a lot of credits. EA cut Battlefront 2 hero prices by 75%. After the update it cost Luke and Vader are 15,000 credits. Leia, Palpatine, Chewbacca cost 10,000 credits. Iden Versio costs 5,000 credits. After this EA still got hate so they removed microtransactions for some time and they haven’t returned yet. EA has a service called Origin access on PC were gamers pay $29.99 to have access to more than 75 Origin games for 1 year.
