Thanks to AMD’s roadmap, we already knew that the next generation of AMD Ryzen CPUs, Zen 2 is going to be released sometime in 2019. AMD is much more transparent than other companies about their next-gen GPUs and CPUs. We already know that Zen 2 is going to be announced in CES 2019 by AMD’s CEO Dr.Lisu. We didn’t have an official release date until now. Thanks to an image from Gamer.com.tw, we have gotten a lot of information on AMD’s next-gen CPU.

7nm Zen 2 and Next-Gen X570 Chipset Release Date Leaked

There is a lot of hype surrounding AMD’s next-gen CPU, Zen 2. Most of the hype was caused by AMD themselves.

“In 2019, AMD will catapult computing, gaming, and visualization technologies forward with the world’s first 7nm high-performance CPUs and GPUs, providing the power required to reach technology’s next horizon. During her CES keynote, Dr. Su and guests will provide a view into the diverse applications for new computing technologies ranging from solving some of the world’s toughest challenges to the future of gaming, entertainment and virtual reality with the potential to redefine modern life.”

This got gamers really excited to see how Zen 2 will perform. Although I don’t have any performance numbers for you, there is a rumor going around that claims Zen 2 and X570 are going to be released at Computex.

AMD-Ryzen Leaked Release Date

As you can see, it is said that AMD Matisse (the codename for Next-Gen AMD CPU) will use the AMD4 socket. You can also see that the X570 chipset is going to be released at Computex. It is also written that AMD Matisse will use “All PCIe Gen4 Solution.) If the X570 chipset is released at Computex, there is a good chance that AMD’s next-gen 7nm CPU is going to be released on or close to Computex.

There is more good news for gamers as this shows that AMD Matisse will be using the AMD4 socket so it will likely be backward compatible. This means that if you already have a system with Ryzen in it, you wouldn’t have to put in all the time and effort to buy a new motherboard and replace your current one. You’ll also be saving a good amount of money as it means you wouldn’t have to shell out an extra $100 for a new motherboard.
