Next-Gen Xbox 2 to Feature Ray Tracing, AMD Zen 2, AMD Navi | Leaks and Rumors

Xbox 2 Latest Leaks and Rumors

Microsoft, Xbox 2

It is now 2019 and Microsoft’s latest Xbox console, the Xbox One is 6 years old. If you have followed the news, you have probably heard about the next-generation of Xbox consoles, the Xbox Anaconda which is going to be powerful enough to deliver Ray Tracing to gamers.

Xbox Anaconda Specs Leaked

Although this rumor isn’t very credible, it does make sense for the Xbox 2 to feature Ray Tracing as Xbox 2’s biggest competitor, the PS 5 is rumored to feature Ray Tracing, therefore, it makes a lot of sense for Microsoft to incorporate ray tracing into the Xbox 2. The rumors claim that the Xbox Anaconda is going to be very powerful as it is going to use AMD’s 7nm Zen 2 8 core, 16 threads CPU. The Xbox 2 is going to feature an AMD Navi iGPU and it’ll deliver 12 TFLOPs of performance to gamers. The surprising part is the fact that the Xbox Anaconda is going to feature a 1TB NVMe SSD and 16GB of GDDR6 RAM. For comparison, the Xbox One X features 6 TERAFLOPs of power and the CPU is very old and weak. If the Xbox One X is able to run the latest games at 4k 30 FPS, the Xbox Anaconda should run the latest games at 4k 60 FPS.

When is it Coming Out?

Although we don’t have a lot of credible rumors about Xbox Anaconda’s release date, analysts predict that the next-gen Xbox console is going to be released at late 2019 or early 2020. The Xbox Anaconda is rumored to be announced at E3 2019 which is only 3 months away. The Xbox Anaconda is rumored to be released a month or two before the Holiday season as gaming companies make a lot of money in the Holiday season.
