Xbox 2 Coming in Holiday 2020 | To Feature Ray Tracing, 4K 60 FPS?

Xbox 2 Latest Leaks and Rumors

As you probably know, there are a lot of rumors going around the internet about the next-generation of gaming consoles. The latest rumors claimed that the Sony PlayStation 5 and Xbox 2 are both going to feature cutting edge graphics due to the custom made Zen 2 CPU and Navi GPU. According to the latest rumors, Microsoft is going to release two different Xbox consoles, Xbox 2 and a streaming Xbox console which are both supposedly going to be released in holiday 2020.

Xbox 2 Coming Holiday 2020

According to the latest rumors around the internet, Microsoft is going to release the next-generation of Xbox consoles sometime around holiday 2020 while the Xbox 2 devkit is going to be given to developers in April or March 2019. A 2020 release date makes a lot of sense as it means that the Xbox One will be 7 years old. Both the Xbox One and Xbox 360 were released in late November so, it would make sense to see the Xbox 2 sometime in November. With a November release date, Microsoft can use hype to make a good amount of money thanks to the holidays.

Next-Gen Xbox to Feature Ray Tracing

According to the same source that leaked the Xbox 2’s release date, both the Xbox 2 and streaming Xbox consoles are going to feature ray tracing and DirectX. Of course, ray tracing will be toned down so that the Xbox 2 can run games without too many issues. It takes an $800 RTX 2080 GPU to run games at 1080p 60 FPS with Ray Tracing set to ultra so, Microsoft will have to do a lot of optimization to get games to run smoothly on the Xbox 2.

Xbox 2 and Streaming Xbox Specs

The next-gen Xbox 2 is supposedly going to feature a custom made AMD Zen 2 CPU which is going to feature 8 cores and 16 threads. Xbox 2 is going to feature a custom made Navi GPU which is going to feature 12 TFLOPs of performance and 16Gb of GDDR6 RAM which is going to be shared between the console and GPU. The most surprising part is that Xbox 2 is going to feature a 1TB NVME SSD with 1GB/s+ bandwidth. Xbox 2 is going to cost $500 and, it’s going to feature better specs than a $900 gaming PC

The streaming Xbox console is going to feature a custom made Zen 2 CPU with 8 cores and 16 thread. It’s also going to feature a custom made AMD Navi GPU which is going to feature 4TFLOPs of performance. The console is going to feature 12GB of GDDR6 RAM which will be shared between the console and GPU and a 1TB NVME SSD. It is going to cost you $249 which is a really good price. Microsoft will have to do a lot of work if they want to deliver proper game streaming. If Microsoft is able to deliver proper game streaming services, the next-gen streaming Xbox console can be really successful.
