Nvidia GeForce RTX 2080 Vs GTX 1080
NVIDIA released a relative performance comparison Turing-based GeForce RTX 2080 Vs Pascal based GTX 1080
NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2080 vs GTX 1080: At Gamescom, poor performance with RTX enabled were shown, now NVIDIA decided to cut all speculation and confirm officially that the upcoming series will be 40-50% faster in selected titles. With DLSS enabled (Deep Learning Super Sampling), some supported games will offer even better performance thanks to new antialiasing technology.

Based on the leaked benchmarks earlier Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti faster than GTX 1080 Ti, But is it as promised?
The leaked benchmarks may not offer definitive proof for new GPUs from Nvidia vs previous gen and most likely drivers are not final either, so performance could slightly improve later. The official Turing drivers are not yet out and these results seem to be provided by an Nvidia or AIB partner employee. 35% not 45% as mentioned before by Nvidia. New RTX cards from Nvidia are not out yet, and the leaks are coming in every week. Last week, Nvidia admitted (in a very optimistic estimation) that the Turing gaming GPUs are at most 45% faster than Pascals in non-optimized games and as the latest 3DMark Time Spy benchmark revealed by Videocardz presents the RTX 2080 Ti scoring only 35% higher than the GTX 1080 Ti.
Videocardz suggests that these latest results were uploaded directly by an Nvidia or an AIB partner employee since the Turing-specific drivers are not yet officially available for download. It is not clear why Nvidia is pushing to launch the Ti version so soon, as it usually launches these versions at least 10 months after the regular versions. Maybe the reason behind it is that the other ones are not that strong comparing to the current pascal high-end GPUs like 1080 ti so wont able to make a good appearance as the first representation of the turing. For reference, the GTX 1080 Ti was 79% faster than the GTX 980 Ti; however, the Pascal GPU was released 2 years after the Maxwell one.

Provided these results are accurate, the high-end RTX cards might not be desirable at launch time, especially considering that the MSRP for these cards sits at US$1,100. The 2060/2070 models, on the other hand, could have a better price/performance ratio, making them best buys. Unfortunately, there is no word on the 2060 model for the time being, but it should be announced by Q4 2018.
