Nvidia is working hard to increase GPU supply

Nvidia is trying to fix the shortage issue

Since sometime in December graphics cards have been faced with a massive GPU shortage. Since cryptocurrencies blew up and everyone started mining for them GPUs have been out of stock. Miners need at least 4 graphics cards to be able to make an actual profit that is more than $5. On the other hand, gamers need at maximum 2 graphics cards for their gaming rig. Most gamers use only 1 GPU because many games don’t even work with an SLI configuration and the few that do, don’t get a huge performance boost. After years of the demand that gamers had for Nvidia and AMD mining blew up and Nvidia&AMD weren’t ready for all of the demand so gamers have been facing a massive GPU shortage. Becuase of that gamers need to spend a few hundred Dollars more than the normal price of the GPU. Nvidia has been taking steps to fix the GPU shortage by launching a Nvidia online store with a maximum of two GPU limit per person and asking retailers to set a two graphics card limit per person.

Nvidia addressed the fact that the sudden GPU demand by miners exceeded their expectations and Nvidia said that thanks to all of the demand by crypto miners Nvidia earned more revenue this quarter than other quarters. If Nvidia resupplied their GPUs earlier then AMD that could cause a big problem for AMD and Nvidia will get most of the market since there are many people that are looking to buy a GPU either for gaming or mining.
