If you have been following the news you may have heard statements like “AMD Navi is going to revolutionize the gaming market” or something similar but, recent leaks and rumors about Nvidia’s RTX refreshes seem like AMD Navi isn’t going to be powerful enough to compete with Nvidia’s RTX SUPER refreshes.

NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER Benchmark Leaked

We have gotten our hands on Final Fantasy benchmarks of the NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER as well as the AMD Radeon RX 5700. Although the AMD Radeon RX 5700 is destroyed by NVIDIA in the benchmark, it doesn’t mean that the RX 5700 is going to be that disappointing. The Final Fantasy benchmark is famous for favoring NVIDIA by a long shot so, the AMD Navi benchmark is very inaccurate. Although the Navi benchmarks aren’t accurate, the NVIDIA RTX benchmarks are pretty accurate and we see that the RTX 2070 SUPER performs about 14% better than the RTX 2070. It seems like the rumor claiming that the RTX 2070 SUPER is going to perform about halfway between the RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 is real.

AMD Navi vs NVIDIA RTX SUPER

The benchmarks are below are official from AMD themselves and as you can see, it seems like AMD Navi isn’t going to be a success. The Radeon RX 5700XT performs 22% better than the RTX 2070 at best and that’s in battlefield V. If the NVIDIA RTX 2070 SUPER performs about 14% better then the RTX 2070, the AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT would be beaten pretty much across the board. Of course, the NVIDIA RTX SUPER is most likely going to perform better when it is released as the leaked benchmarks weren’t done with final benchmarks.

The issue is the fact that NVIDIA RTX has a slight edge over the AMD Navi competing GPUs which is the fact that it features Ray Tracing. If AMD Navi performs similarly to the NVIDIA RTX SUPER GPUs, gamers will most likely go with NVIDIA as it features Ray Tracing.
