Nvidia Super RTX Refreshes to Blow Away AMD Navi GPUs? Official 7nm AMD Navi Benchmarks
Things Don’t Seem Good for AMD Navi
Although AMD is conquering the CPU market, it seems like that’s not going to happen with the GPU market. Thanks to official benchmarks, we know that AMD’s next-gen 7nm Navi GPUs aren’t going to be all that powerful and in some official benchmarks, RTX cards are even able to beat Navi in some benchmarks! With the Nvidia Super RTX refreshes happening, things seem really bad for AMD.
Nvidia RTX Refreshes
At the top of the chain, is the RTX 2080 Ti Super which is going to be very powerful. It is said that the RTX 2080 Ti Super is going to be cost gamers the same as the RTX 2080 Ti but, it’s going to surpass the RTX 2080 Ti in gaming performance.
Now, let’s talk about the cards that are going to be competing with AMD Navi. The Nvidia RTX 2080 Super is going to feature an unlocked non-OC 2080 Ti chip and, it’s said to feature a core count between the RTX 2070 and the 2080 Ti as well as 3072 CUDA Cores with 8GB of VRAM. This GPU is also going to cost you about the same as an RTX 2080.
Now, let’s talk about the RTX 2070 Super which is going to feature a non-OC RTX 2080 chip which has been unlocked, a core count between the RTX 2070 and RTX 2080 and, it’s going to cost a little bit more than the RTX 2070. We are also going to get an RTX 2060 Super with a non-OC 2070 chip. The card is going to feature around 2112 Cuda Cores as well as 8GB of VRAM which is a big step up over the 6GB available on the RTX 2060. The RTX 2060 Super is going to cost you the same as the RTX 2060 but, it’ll be able to deliver high-end gaming performance for $350.
Nvidia Super to Beat AMD Navi
The high-end Radeon RX 5700 XT was rumored to be revelutionary for the gaming market but, it seems like that’s not going to happen. As you can see below, the RX 5700 XT isn’t going to be that powerful when compared to Nvidia’s RTX 2070. Of course, it’s worth mentioning that the RX 5700 XT is going to cost $50 less than the RTX 2070 but, that’s still not good news for AMD as the RX 5700 XT has a hard time competing with the RTX 2070. With the RTX 2070 Super, AMD’s RX 5700 XT would have a really hard time beating Nvidia as it barely outperforms the RTX 2070.

Now, let’s talk about the RX 5700, the direct competitor to the RTX 2060 which is reported to cost you $379 US. As you can see below, the RX 5700 does way better than the RX 5700 XT when compared to Nvidia’s competing GPU. AMD is most likely going to be beaten in this price range as well. The RTX 2060 Super is going to be very powerful for a GPU that costs $350-$400 as it’ll be able to deliver performance between the RTX 2060 and RTX 2070.

Things don’t seem good for AMD as the RTX Super refreshes are going to deliver high levels of performance and, they’ll push all current Nvidia GPUs down by one tier. AMD Navi GPUs are going to have a hard time competing with Nvidia RTX. AMD will have to lower Navi prices to compete with Nvidia RTX Super or, allow Nvidia to hold a monopoly over the gaming market.
