NVIDIA Volta GPUs Working with GE To Bring Power of AI to Medical Imaging

You may ask what is Nvidia doing in Medical and healthcare. Yes you are right you have heard Nvidia Mostly in Pc components and graphic cards and gaming. But The Nvidia GPUs technologies has found their way to many different areas right now with how AI is performing in different industries. AI right now means everything in Healthcare, auto industry and data minding and so on. These are the new fields Nvidia is entering by it Volta Graphics GPUs. Healthcare professionals want to increase their efficiency to serve the growing population, AI seems to be the solution and machine learning as essential tools to improve productivity and patient outcomes. NVIDIA is playing a big role in that in AI nowadays. Nvidia just announced that it is doing a partnerships with two leading healthcare-solution providers one is the GE Healthcare and the other is Nuance that will use NVIDIA’s Volta AI to medical imaging. This announcement was made at the annual meeting of the Radiological Society of North America (RSNA), in Chicago, attended by more than 50,000 professionals.

Nvidia has made a very good deal here which results NVIDIA AI Platform coming to 500,000 GE Imaging Devices. First is a partnership with GE Healthcare that will bring NVIDIA’s AI computing platform to GE Healthcare’s 500,000 imaging devices globally. Partnership with Nuance also aims to bring machine learning to radiologists and data scientists in healthcare system. Nuance implementing new AI Marketplace for Diagnostic Imaging, built on NVIDIA’s deep learning platform. Nuance’s image-sharing and reporting solutions are used by 70 percent of radiologists.
