Mercy changes: Blizzard seems to be experimenting with Overwatch’s Mercy following her overhaul in September. The latest changes affects her ability to fly and how her ability to revive other players will work. Now It has a variety of buffs. But Her previous Ultimate, Resurrect, was made into a regular ability that can only revive a single player, rather than all nearby allies and players. With the latest update on the PTR, Mercy gains a free Resurrect charge when she uses Valkyrie. This is only available for the duration of Valkyrie. “Valkyrie still no longer affects Resurrect’s cooldown directly now, but this method preserves some amount of ‘burst ressing’ when needed, while making it more flexible to use,” principal designer Geoff Goodman said on the Overwatch forums. “For example, in the past if you want to res two targets with Valkyrie, you had to first res one target, then Ult (causing the cooldown to reset), then res the other target. With this new change you can now hit Valkyrie first, fly in quickly, and res two targets instantly.” For the people unfamiliar with the whole overwatch game her is some clues; Overwatch is a team-based multiplayer online first-person shooter video game developed and published by Blizzard Entertainment. It was released in May 2016 for Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One. Initial release date: May 24, 2016 ; Developer: Blizzard Entertainment ; Rating: Teen ; Awards: The Game Award for Game Of The Year ; Designers: Scott Mercer, Jeremy Craig, Michael Elliott ; Platforms: PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows
The Halloween Updates: The Halloween event started on October 10th on the Xbox One, Ps 4, and PC, and it will end on November 3rd. Blizzard has already revealed McCree and Reaper’s 2017 Halloween skins. Last years Halloween event brought a new PvE mode called Junkenstein’s Revenge. In Junkenstein’s Revenge, four-player teamed up to kill spookier versions of Dr. Junkenstein, Junkenstein’s Monster, the Reaper, a witch, and shambling Zomnics. Players were able to get 100+ cosmetic items from the Halloween loot boxes. Players were able to get class skins for Bastion, Ana, Mercy, Hanzo, Junkrat, Pharah, Roadhog, Reinhardt, Reaper, Soldier 76, Zenyatta, and Symmetra, new emotes, new sprays, new victory poses, and much more. Players were able to buy some of the cosmetics items from the shop with credits. In January Overwatch reached the 25 million milestones, and On April 28th Overwatch reached 30 million players. When Overwatch came out it had some competition, but after a few days it destroyed the competition, and every company that tried to reach Overwatch failed. Battleborn barely reached Overwatch’s player count. According to Steam spy, Yesterday the peak amount of players on Battleborn was only 100, and the game is free to play.
Blizzard is recruiting for probably an entirely new ‘Overwatch’ project: A new vacancy on the Blizzard website recently suggests they may be looking to expand the Overwatch universe with a new version or greater updates. The company is seeking a “generalist artist intern” with “knowledge and understanding” of Overwatch to work on an unannounced project. This amy be far from confirmation of a new Overwatch game yet, but generally companies hire generalists to start and come up + develop and brain storm a new platform.
Dr. Junkenstein’s thirst for revenge still burns…
