PC, Nintendo Switch, and Mac game development on the rise
Smartphone and Mac game development has increased
2017 was a very successful year for the Nintendo Switch. The Nintendo Switch became the product of the year, surpassed Nintendo’s sale goals by millions of units, and became the fastest selling console in the United of America. When the Nintendo Switch launched a few months ago it didn’t have a lot of games on it. When it launched the Nintendo Switch had less than 20 games on it and many people don’t count 1‑2‑Switch was a real game. Many gamers believe that 1‑2‑Switch should have been paced with the Nintendo Switch. When the Nintendo Switch launched developers thought it would fail so they didn’t develop games for it but after they saw Nintendo Switch’s huge success they started developing games for it. Right now a lot more devs are developing games for the PC than the Xbox One, PS 4, and other gaming platforms. In 2017 we didn’t see a lot of games for the Mac but in 2018 it seems like we are going to get a lot more Mac games.
