Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds was one of the most popular games of 2017. It sold 20 million units before it was even released and now according to Steamspy PUBG has sold 27,663,372 units. That’s a very impressive number considering that PUBG was released in December 2017. When PUBG was release on the Xbox One unlike its performance on PC it was very bad. On the base, Xbox One console PUBG runs at lower than very low to low settings preset on PC. On the Xbox One PUBG runs at 1080p and according to the graphics settings at very low settings. On the Xbox One PUBG has lower draw distance than the very low preset but it has better anti-aliasing, textures, and shadows. On the Xbox One X PUBG is very close to PC’s medium presets. The Xbox One X has lower draw distance and worse anti-aliasing. PUBG runs at the low to medium preset on PC. Well unlike the Xbox One version PUBG runs very well on the PC after PUBG 1.0.

Before PUBG 1.0 on the PC version with a GTX 1070, we couldn’t get a steady 60 FPS in PUBG the FPS consistently dropped down to 30 to 40 FPS. With PUBG’s release and PUBG 1.0 we got a lot better average FPS. We did the benchmark with an Intel Core I7 7700k (not overclocked), an MSI GTX 1070 Gaming X GPU, an MSI Z270 Gaming Pro Motherboard, and 2 sticks of 8 GB Ballistix Sport LT DDR4 2400 MT/s ram. You can see check out the PC part picker list for full details. With these specs, we got an average of 77 FPS at 1080p Ultra presets in 13 minutes of gameplay. Right now you can get Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds for $29.99 on Steam. Right now PUBG PC has a 86 on Metacritic but it only has a 4.6 user score on Metacritic. PUBG got a 10/10 from Polygon, a 9.5/10 from IGN, and an 8/10 from GameSpot.
