Brendon Greene believes PUBG shouldn’t win game of the year

Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is one of the most popular games of 2017. It hasn’t even been released PUBG is still in early access but it is consistently Steam’s most played game, and it has sold 20 million+ copies. Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds has a lot of fans, and many gamers believe it should win a game of the year reward, but PUBG’s developer Brendan Greene believes it’s not good enough yet.

Speaking to IGN Brendon Greene said he doesn’t want to win any Game of the Year awards that was very surprising to many gamers. He said he will like to win Game of the Year award for the team but he believes better games were released this year. He sais some of those games are Zelda Breath of the Wild and Horizon: Zero Dawn. He called said these games have a very good story and design. He says it would be good if Play Unknown’s Battlegrounds won game of the year award but he thinks PUBG doesn’t deserve it. PUBG corp’s CEO C.H. Kim said early access doesn’t matter you have to look at the game. Kim said when PUBG 1.0 is released they will update the game to make it better. Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds will probably not win the game of the year considering it’s a little laggy and it doesn’t have a lot of content. Right now the nominees for game of the year are Horizon Zero Dawn, Persona 5, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, Super Mario Odyssey, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

At November 13th Blue hole revealed new screenshots from PUBG’s new map. Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds new map is based on a desert in Mexico as far as we know the map features building, mountains, hills, a crashed plane that’s on fire, a wrestling arena, and craters, a church, and more. In the screenshots released by Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds himself, we see a massive city with many tall and short buildings, another picture of the city, a military base, and a village. Right now in PUBG’s current map, there aren’t any big cities, and the tiny towns don’t look realistic. There are many out of place buildings. For example, you will find a watchtower in a random city.
