PUBG hits and passes huge current Players and Bans milestone

PUBG has hit another milestone

Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is one of the most popular games of 2017. It has sold over 20 million copies on Steam alone and after it was released on the Xbox One PUBG Corp announced that PUBG got 30 million copies across the Xbox One and Steam. Unfortunately, PUBG doesn’t run very well on the Xbox One so it’s not selling as good as it’s selling on the PC. Right now PUBG has hit another milestone on PC. Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is the most played and has the most players online at the same time on Steam.

Player Unknowns Battlegrounds himself AKA Brendan Greene (The creator of PUBG) has announced that PUBG has hit a concurrent players milestone. In a Tweet, Brendan Greene announced that PUBG has got more than 30 million concurrent players. He wrote, “OVER 3 MILLION!! Thank you all for helping us reach this amazing milestone! GG WP everybody <3.” According to his Tweet 3,106,358 players have played PUBG at the same time. Over 3 million concurrent players is a lot but not for PUBG. It’s not surprising for PUBG to hit this milestone since PUBG sells aren’t slowing down a bit. Steam’s 2nd most played game is Dota 2. Dota 2 made it past 1.3 million concurrent players and it’s been out for 4 years. That’s not the only milestone PUBG hit they have also reached a ban milestone. The anti-cheat for PUBG is BattlEye and BattlEye Tweeted that they have struck the ban hammer on 1,500,000 PUBG players. PUBG is a battle royal game made by Bluehole. It’s been so successful that Bluehole made a whole other company that focuses solely on PUBG called PUBG Corp. PUBG Corp will make content for UBG for at least 10 more years while Bluehole works on other projects. Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds has already been released on the PC and it will be released on the Xbox One in the future. PUBG 1.0 brought many new features to the game some of these features are new weapons, new vehicles, new desert map, vaulting, and much more.
