PUBG PC gets an exclusive update brings server improvements
PUBG PC is getting a new exclusive update
Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds AKA PUBG is one of the most popular games of 2017. It sold 20 million on the PC alone before leaving early access and now it has been reported that it sold 30 million copies across the Xbox One and PC. PUBG’s launch hasn’t been great especially on the Xbox One but the PC version has some issues too. PUBG 1.0 has many server issues, a lot of in-game lag, and many other issues. These issues clearly didn’t drive away any costumes but they are annoying. PUBG 1.0 greatly improved PUBG’s performance on the PC. Before PUBG 1.0 gamers with high-end GPUs couldn’t get a constant 60 FPS at ultra settings 1080p. PUBG Corp has released PUBG’s first update since it launched and it improves many server issues and character positioning issues.
According to the patch notes many different issues cause character positioning issues and in-game lag. PUBG Corp wrote, “We upgraded our game engine to the latest version and made changes to the game when we added new content. The problem resulted from these changes as well as several other causes.” It seems like these problems will not be fixed anytime soon but PUBG Corp is working on it. With the new update, PUBG Corp optimized servers to “alleviate” these problems. Unfortunately, the “character position” issues haven’t been fixed yet but PUBG Corp says that this issue is their top priority. With the new update, there is an equal chance to play in Erangel and Miramar maps, players can only view replays from 3 minutes after death, and many more bug fixes.
PUBG 1.0 was released on March 23, 2017 and it brought many new features to the Xbox One and PC. The biggest feature was a new desert map set in Mexico called Miramar. The update brought many other things such as new weapons, vehicles, bug fixes, performance issues, and much more. PUBG is available for the Xbox One and PC (Steam) for $29.99. PUBG has a really good price considering that most triple a games cost $59.99.
