Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is undoubtedly one of the most successful games of 2017 and it might be the most successful game of all time. It has already sold more than 20 million copies and it’s only in early access. It has definitely made a lot of money for Bluehole. In fact, it’s so successful that Bluehole made a company that focuses on PUBG and they will be releasing new content for PUBG for at least 10 more years. Well, Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds is going to be released on the Xbox One on December 15th, 2017. Many gamers were wondering about PUBG’s Xbox One X patch and a few days ago PUBG himself said that they are aiming for 60 FPS on the Xbox One X. Now Brendon Greene says it will run at 30 FPS on the original Xbox One, Xbox One S, and Xbox One X.
Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds himself Twitted that he did say that PUBG will run at a higher FPS on the Xbox One X than other Xbox One devices he wants to make it clear that it will be running at 30 FPS. He says it runs at 30 FPS because PUBG is really early in development and they are trying to find ways to increase FPS. This response might make some gamers disappointed but many gamers didn’t expect PUBG to run at 60 FPS on the Xbox One X. PUBG will get a 4k patch for the Xbox One X but it’s not very optimized right now. Even on PC some high-end gaming PCs can’t run PUBG at ultra 1080 60FPS all the time. With a GTX 1070 at demanding places, it drops down to 40 FPS. Before this Tweet, Greene said their goal is to have PUBG running at 60 FPS on the Xbox One X and the last time he saw it it was running at 30-40 FPS.
While I previously stated PUBG would run at higher FPS at XGP launch on 12/12, I want to clarify that PUBG will run at 30 FPS across all @Xbox One devices. We’re constantly refining the game & exploring options to increase FPS, but this early in dev, we’re unable to confirm more.
