PUBG Xbox One passes 3 million players

PUBG has been doing very well on the Xbox One

Player Unknown’s Battlegrounds was one of the best selling games of 2017. PUBG sold 29 million copies on PC alone and it launched on PC in December. PUBG was also nominated for game of the year. Even though PUBG was only in early access it was nominated for the game of the year and it was very laggy and it had many problems. Right now PUBG doesn’t run well on the Xbox One/Xbox One X. PUBG on Xbox One isn’t as optimized for the consoles as other triple-A games. On the base Xbox One PUBG runs at very low to a little better than low, 30 FPS, 20180p. The draw distance is lower than the very low preset on PC but the textures have a lot more details and shadows look better. On the Xbox One X PUBG runs at low to medium PC preset, 4k, 30 FPS. On the Xbox One X PUBG has better textures then the medium preset on PC but the PC medium has better anti-aliasing, and better draw distance. PUBG disappointed many gamers on the Xbox One but many Xbox One gamers still bought it even though it doesn’t look or run well.

Xbox’s head of marketing Aaron Greenberg announced the news in a blog post. Aaron Greenberg wrote, “Today, PUBG Corp. and Xbox are excited to share that through the end of 2017 the PUBG community on Xbox One has already grown to over three million players. Thank you for your incredible support!” Apparently, we will get many more updates for PUBG. According to the blog post, “You’ll continue to see regular updates roll out for PUBG on Xbox One such as this week’s addition of first-person support for solo, duo, and squads gameplay and the team is just getting started, with more updates planned that include additional game optimization and the new Miramar map.” PUBG was released on the PC in December and now it’s available as an early access game on the Xbox One. On both platforms, you can pick up this game for only $29.99. The minimum requirements on PC are Intel Core i3 4340, 6 GB of RAM, 64-Bit Windows 7/8/10,  GTX 660 2GB, and 30 GB of Hard Drive space.
