Super Mario Odyssey gets first DLC adds Luigi

Super Mario Odyssey has gotten a DLC

The Nintendo Switch was one of the most popular of 2017. The Nintendo Switch became the fastest selling console of all time in the United States even selling faster than some of the best selling consoles of all time such as PS 2 and the Wii.  Also, the Nintendo Switch sold 10 million units in only 9 months exceeding Nintendo’s expectations by millions of units. Nintendo expected to sell only 8 million units in Nintendo Switch’s first facial year April 2017 through March 2018. When Nintendo said the Nintendo Switch was selling faster then expected so they had a shortage issue they weren’t lying. Super Mario Odyssey was one of Nintendo’s most awaited IPs and the wait was worth it. Super Mario Odyssey got near perfect scores from pretty much all reviewers. Nintendo didn’t release DLC for most Wii U games but they are changing that with Nintendo Switch games. Nintendo released DLC for Zelda Breath of the Wild and now they have announced DLC for Super Mario Odyssey and fortunately, this is a free DLC. Nintendo revealed this on, “Nintendo Direct Mini 1.11.2018.”

The new DLC will be part of a free update that will be released in February. The new update brings new costumes and a new minigame that features Luigi to Super Mario Odyssey. Unfortunately, you will not be able to play as Luigi but you get to play a mini-game that features him called Luigi’s Balloon World. The mini-game has two different modes the hide it mode and the find it mode. In the hide it mode you will have to hide a ballon somewhere in a map so other players can’t find it in 30 seconds. In the find it mode you will get 30 seconds to run around the map and find the hidden ballons the more balloons you find you will get a higher position on the leaderboard. This mini-game will be available after you finish the main game. The new costumes are called Musician Hat, Sunshine Shades, and knight armor.
