Samsung kills Galaxy Note 5 & S6 Edge+ support

Samsung now completely ignores those still using premium handsets like Note 5 & S6 Edge+. The latest victims of support cut, both being barely three years old which have just been dropped off the list of Samsung devices still receiving monthly security updates. Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ back in August 2015. Although Samsung might issue irregular updates in the future for some critical vulnerabilities, this still does not look good at all for them.

Unfortunately, the Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ have just been removed from the list of devices eligible for monthly updates. The latest security patch these handsets received arrived last month and, when speaking about major Android versions, both have only been updated to Android 7.0 Nougat. Fortunately, the more adventurous users can get the latest Android features thanks to LineageOS .
