Sea of Thieves technical alpha stats revealed 314,000 players 

A lot of players played the Sea of Thieves beta

Sea of Thieves might not be the most talked about game of 2018 but it is still very popular and it has a massive fan base. Since the game was released Rare has been announcing betas for the game. Every time a new beta opened the beta numbers increased and the game’s last beta has recently ended. The last beta was not completely an open beta but it was very close. Anyone that joined the Sea of Thieves insider program was able to play the Sea of Thieve’s technical alpha. Well if you want to know how many players played in the Sea of Thieves technical alpha and how much time players spent in the alpha is in luck because those numbers have been revealed.

According to an image posted by a resetera user by the name of Gowans exactly, 314,021 players played the Sea of Thieves Technical Alpha. Players that played the Alpha earned 871,180,805 Gold and players spent more than 2,000,000 hours in the Sea of Thieves Alpha. Gamers in the Alpha finished 402,488 quests and the Sea of Thieves Alpha got a peak os 35,882 concurrent players. Apparently, the Alpha got 30,595 content creators, 14,260,440 hours was spent on watching Sea of Thieves Alpha gameplay, 104,240 average viewers, #1 viewed on Twitch/Mixer, and 269k concurrent viewers on Twitch. If this Alpha didn’t require gamers to sign up for the insider program more then a month before the Alpha launched the Sea of Thieves stats would’ve been a lot higher. 

Right now you pre-order Sea of Thieves for $59.99 from pretty much every retailer and Sea of Thieves will be released on March 20th, 2018. If you didn’t get to participate in the alpha you can still see what the game looks like thanks to game plays on Youtube. Sea of Thieves is also going to be available on Xbox game Pass. You can get Xbox Game Pass for $9.99 a month and anyone that hasn’t used the trail yet can get a 14-day free trial.
