Right now, PC gaming isn’t the best portable gaming option. If you want to play on a laptop, you will have to sacrifice specs for comfort. You can either buy a 10-pound laptop that can run games at 1080p ultra 60 FPS or buy a light laptop and play on an IGPU. Well, for the first time ever gamers will be able to take their PC anywhere they want with the Smach Z, similair to the Nintendo Switch. Thanks to this light handheld PC you can play your favorite games on the go.

Smach Z Specs

The Smach doesn’t have fixed specs. You can choose the specs you want. The cheapest version will cost you $629.10. The cheapest version features 4GB of DDR4 RAM, 64GB of SSD storage, and Smach OS. The high-end version of the console features 16GB of DDR4 RAM, 256GB of SSD storage, a 5mpx camera, and Windows 10 Home. This version will cost you $1078.20. All versions of the handheld come with an AMD Ryzen V1605B CPU and Vega 8 Graphics. The handheld has a 6in 1080p screen.

Can it Run Triple-A Games at Playable Frame Rates?

Of course, Vega 8 is an IGPU so you will have to allocate RAM if you want more then 32mb of VRAM. If you get the 16GB version of the console it wouldn’t be too hard to allocate 2GB to the GPU but the lower-end models would have a harder time. Although we don’t have specific benchmarks of the Smach Z, we can guess how it will perform. If you want to run games at playable frame rates, you will have to set them to low settings 720p. In Witcher 3, the Ryzen 2400G ran the game at an average of 39.6 FPS. That is not that bad considering that Witcher 3 is hard to run. Some triple-A games such as Rainbow Six Siege run at 100+ FPS (benchmarks from techpowerup). Since the console has a tiny screen 720p low settings wouldn’t look as bad as you think. So yes, it can run triple-A games at playable frame rates but, don’t expect too much.
