Splatoon 2: New Splatfest announced 

Nintendo has announced a new splatfest

The Nintendo Switch has been extremely successful. It has already sold 10 million units that’s surprising even to Nintendo. When the Switch launched Nintendo’s goal was to sell 8 million Nintendo Switch consoles from April 2017 through March 2018. The Nintendo Switch also became the product of the year so it’s not surprising that is sold so well even though it was facing a huge shortage issue. The Switch has a lot of exclusives such as Super Mario Odyssey, Zelda Breath of the Wild, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and Splatoon 2. Splatoon 2 was one of the most hyped games of 2017 and most of gamers problems with it was the fact that you need a smartphone to use voice chat in Splatoon 2. So each few weeks Nintendo starts an event on Splatoon 2 called splatfest. Splatoon 2’s last Splatfest was Sci-fi VS Fantasy. The team that wins the Splatfest will get Snails. The number of Snails that you earn from the Splatfest depends on your rank. If your team loses you will still get Snails but the team that wins will get extra Snails.

The new Splatoon 2 Splatfest is would you get Sweater or Socks as a gift for Holiday. You can choose the gift you want to get from December 15th, 9:00 pm PT until  December 16 9: 00 pm PT. After this Splatfest ends the winning team will be chosen by the amount of popularity and the win percentage for solo and team. If you want some extra Snails you should hop in right now, choose your team, and try to win the Splatfest. The latest update to Splatoon 2 added Clam Blitz to the game. In the Clam Blitz game mode, you can find Clams around the map and you are supposed to pick them up. When you pick up the Clams they will follow you and then you’re supposed to throw them into the other team basket. That’s not all though because all baskets are guarded with a barrier and if you want to break it you have to pick up 10 Clams. When you pick up 10 Clams you will get a super Clam and you can use that to destroy the barrier. When a player destroys the barrier other people in their team have to throw Clams into the enemy hoop. The first team to score 100 points wins.
