The chips will also be unlocked, like all Ryzens, so owners can overclock them, potentially getting up to 40 percent with the right settings, cooler and a bit of luck. These will appear in laptops coming out the first quarter of 2018. But AMD didn’t mention any specific laptop. They’re meant for inexpensive devices. AMD mentioned it expects the first laptops with Ryzen 3 2300U to come in around $500. That’s a good price for a quad-core laptop with Vega graphics. The Ryzen 3 2300U has six compute units and the Ryzen 3 2200U has three. Set to compete with the Intel 8th-gen Core with Radeon RX Vega comes with 20 or 24 compute units.
