The Nintendo Switch Lite Has a Major Defect!? Big Problems With The Joysticks

The Nintendo Switch Lite’s Joysticks Have a Big Problem

Nintendo’s hybrid console, the Nintendo Switch has turned out to be one of the most successful game consoles that Nintendo has ever released. The console was loved by both fans and reviewers when it came out and flew past Nintendo’s sales expectations by selling 10 million units in only 9 months and after a little while, the Switch became the fastest-selling home console in US history! There is one major issue that the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons had which no one mentioned, the drifting issue. Some times dirt would cause the Nintendo Switch Joy-Cons to get stuck in one direction making games unplayable and sometimes to fix this issue, you had to open the Joy-Cons. The problem is the fact that the Switch Lite uses the same kind of Joysticks.

Nintendo Joy-Cons Defects

The Nintendo Switch may be very successful but thousands of players get themselves a defective Joy-Con. When junk gets in the Joy-Cons, it causes drifting and to fix the issue you may have to open up the controller and replace the Joy-Stick. Of course, if you put a little bit of WD-40 in the Joy-Con you may be able to fix this issue but, it doesn’t always work so some people end up using DIY guides to replace the joysticks.

Nintendo Switch Lite Has a Defect

The $200 Nintendo Switch Lite doesn’t have Joy-Cons. The Switch Lite is very similar to the Wii U in the sense that the controllers are attached to it. Now let’s say that you have a Switch Lite and, since the console uses the same kinds of joysticks as the Joy-Cons do, your controller starts drifting all over the place. Well, now what are you going to do if you need to replace the joystick? Well, you have to open up the console which is 10x harder or you have to pay a good amount of money for Nintendo to fix your issue. Nintendo charges $70 to fix drifting on the Joy-Cons so fixing drifting on the Switch Lite will cost more than $100.

Nintendo could have used a good joystick that doesn’t have this issue but, they either don’t care or don’t want to spend extra money so, they released a new console with a major defect. Of course, if users attract Nintendo’s attention and start making some noise they might quietly roll out new Joy-Cons and a new Switch Lite that doesn’t have this issue.
